Where are your products manufactured?
Our products are manufactured in the UK. The only exception is our shaving brushes which are made in Italy due to their exceptional quality and heritage.
Where can I buy your products?
men-ü products are stocked in top salons, barber shops and online. Although men-ü is a British brand, it also has widespread international distribution and is stocked on most top grooming websites worldwide - please contact us for more information on where to buy in your location. The full range is also available for purchase via our online shop with shipping across the UK, US and Australia.
Are your products tested on animals?
No men-ü products have been tested on animals or their ingredients for men-ü product purposes.
Do your products contain any animal derived ingredients?
The majority of our product range is free from animal derived ingredients. The only exceptions are Clay, Muscle Fibre, Create & Shape, Liquifflex, 3 Minute D-TOX and Barbiere Shaving Brush.
Clay, Muscle Fibre, Create & Shape and Liquifflex (Lanolin Alcohol) contain Lanolin which is derived from sheeps wool. Muscle Fibre and 3 Minute D-TOX contain Cera Alba (Beeswax). The Barbiere Pure Bristle Shaving Brush uses boar bristles.

Do your products contain alcohol?
The majority of our product range is free from alcohol. The only exceptions are Liquifflex, Spray Fix, Matt ‘Skin Refresh’ Gel and Create & Shape. Full ingredient lists can be found on each product page.
Will your products be OK for my skin?
We always advise prior to trying any new product (not just men-ü) to test the product on a discrete part of the body e.g. back of the hand. This will highlight if there are any potential ingredients which are reacting with your skin. Is your packaging recyclable?
Our bottles, tubes and styling pucks are acceptable to recycle. Our bottles, tubes and tube caps are made of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) which is the most commonly recycled plastic and is considered one of the safest forms of plastic and is a relatively simple and cost-effective process to recycle for secondary use. Our styling pucks (jar and lid) and 100ml bottle overcaps are made of Polypropylene (PP) which is becoming more widely accepted for recycling and is considered safe for reuse.
The pump on my bottle is blocked...
On very rare occasions, the 100ml bottle pump may block. This can sometimes happen when the product hasn't been used for a prolonged period of time. To unblock, unscrew the pump and remove it from the bottle then soak the pump and dip-tube in boiling hot water - this should clear any blockages and help restore the flow of product.
What are the differences between your shaving brushes?
Our entry level Barbiere Pure Bristle Shaving Brush uses boar bristles i.e. pig hair. The reason we do not use badger bristles (like most other shaving brushes) is that badgers are killed primarily for their bristles alone. We have named this product as ‘pure bristle’ to highlight that it is a natural bristle i.e. animal hair. The Barbiere Shaving Brush is massed produced on a machined plant.
The Pro Black Shaving Brush uses synthetic, non-animal bristles. The exclusive black men-ü bristles (registered design 2460816-1.EU) are manufactured to be smooth, solid & non-absorbent which means it uses up to 40% less Shave Crème, is more hygienic and there is no bristle loss as there's no expansion and contraction through absorption. The Pro Black Shaving Brush is produced on a pilot plant.
The limited edition Über Shaving Brush also uses synthetic, non-animal bristles. The turning of the handle, preparation of the exclusively manufactured bristles and final assembly is all carried out by the hands of skilled craftsmen in Italy. Each pack is exclusively numbered as part of the limited edition.
Do you offer free samples?
We do not offer samples free of charge. Trial size buddy tubes (15ml) are available to purchase and are much more than just a sample because the product is ultra concentrate – up to 30 apps (depending on the product). Buddy tubes are available for the shave / facial range as well as the Liquifflex styling product.
Do your moisturisers contain SPF?
Our moisturisers do not contain an SPF. We have not been satisfied that a good moisturiser can be produced with a protective SPF of say 30+ without it being a compromise and not working as well as we would like as a moisturiser or sun protector.
Do you have beard care products?
We do not have any specific beard products, however the hair on your face should be treated in the same way as the hair on your head! We recommend using Daily Refresh Shampoo and Daily Moisturising Conditioner in your daily shower regime. For an even softer feeling, SLIC (Smooth Leave In Conditioner) can be applied on damp or dry hair and reapplied throughout the day, if necessary.
