Good news when you are older – less wrinkles! But when you are younger – more spots and breakouts, caused by excess sebum, mixing with dead skin cells and blocking the pores. A lot of this is addressed when teenage boys start to shave. The issue of oily skin is not easy. After cleaning the face with a good facial wash, we believe that the optimum is to use a clay mask but do not use after shaving, with the exfoliation that takes place. As with any product for the face and neck area, test a small amount for irritation on the skin, 24 hours before full use. Because of oilier skin, men have the greater need to refresh / tone their skin than women, if they want to control shiny skin.
Wash the face & neck area with men-ü Healthy Facial Wash that has a high concentration of tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial which is ideal to help cleanse and protect from spots and shaving rash. Also included is witch hazel for its soothing, healing and astringent properties – great for controlling greasy skin. Rinse after and pat dry with a clean towel.
Apply an even layer of DETOX over face and neck or just on the T-zone (forehead & nose), avoiding the eyes. Allow the product to dry for 3-5 minutes. men-ü DETOX is effective after only 3 minutes – not much more than the time it takes to brush ones teeth! The greasier the skin, use more DETOX & leave on for longer.
Tone the skin with men-ü Matt 'Skin Refresh' Gel - an anti-shine, fragrance free gel with natural salicylic acid and witch hazel that removes and controls excess oil, cleaning pores from impurities as well as toning and tightening the skin. Allow the gel to dry for approximately 60 seconds and then review the condition of the skin.
If the skin is dry after refreshing, finish with men-ü Matt Moisturiser which is oil and fragrance free with sebum absorbers. The absorbers kick in for a matt finish, whilst the moisturiser is readily absorbed. Includes Vitamin E which helps tackle the free radicals that age the skin, by attacking the collagen and reducing elasticity.
